Donna has remodeled and produced THEME LODGE ROOMS
The "BUTTERFLY" Room has been a "hit" since we completed it. Bedroom decor and Bathroom decor gives a bright peaceful back to nature feeling for our guests.
THE "WHIRLPOOL ROOM" Features a corner Whirlpool Bath, enclosed circular glass shower and Italian tile floor and walls. The Bedroom features a spacious KING size bed with a separate dressing area for the lady of the night. Bedroom amenities include; a fireplace, 42inch flat screen TV, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, and new modern HVAC unit. It is the perfect "get away" relaxation station for a couple and reasonably priced.
The "SAFARI ROOM" features wood paneled walls, two queen sized beds, a new tiled shower bathroom, with a separate dressing area for the lady. The Safari Room includes a NEW 42 inch flat screen TV, Fireplace, Refrigerator,
Microwave,Coffee Maker, and Hair Dryer. The room artistically decorated with statues of African wildlife as is the Safari Bath room." Kids love it"..please don't feed the animals. Enjoy a restful night on your Safari.

Chef Devin and Barry are always looking for new food ideas to make your dining pleasure enjoyable. They feature this month: Local Crab Slew Oysters Caught Fresh in Pamlico Sound...Served on the Half Shell Raw, Steamed,Fried,or Roasted. They continue to offer the Hamburger Steak Special on Monday, a Prime Rib on Wednesday,Seafood Special on Friday, and Steamed Shrimp on Sundays.

IS CANVASSED BY TWO-ONE HUNDRED YEAR LIVE OAK TREES THAT BARRY HAS PROTECTED FOR OVER 30 YEARS. THE OPEN AND COVERED DECKS WERE BUILT AROUND THE TREES TO PROTECT THEM.

Walnut Island Restaurant/Lodge/Sports Center was established in 1958 as a Fishing and Hunting Lodge for Sportsmen. Barry's remains a favorite destination for travelers who come to vacation on the outer banks, to fish, to hunt, or just to RELAX . Sport activities now include; Bass Fishing, Duck Hunting, Golf at Goose Creek, or Carolina Golf Clubs, boating, wind surfing, our two annual charity motorcycle
events , and RELAXATION.
Barry is a US Navy Veteran ,a Big Chicago Bears Fan, and he welcomes the vacationers, tourists, and the motorcycle community. Memorabilia abounds throughout the restaurant and bar. There are over 300 Harley t-shirts and many NFL, NASCAR items on the walls and ceilings.Barry has a Bears game jersey autographed for him by Walter Peyton in 1985 and he displays Jimmy Buffet's autographed Surf Board at the entrance. You can "chill out" and waste away again at Walnut Island Ville!
Barry's restaurant features a dining area, all with a water front view. Our resident "Osprey" family returns each year in mid-March to raise another pair of hatchlings. A separate sports bar with all ABC Permits adjoins the restaurant. Sport Bar features a 100 inch Projection TV, pool tables, darts,bar-top games, and FREE WIRELESS NET SERVICE
