Walnut Island Restaurant/Lodge/Sports Center was established in 1958 as a Fishing and Hunting Lodge for Sportsmen. We remain a favorite destination for travelers who come to vacation on the outer banks, to fish, to hunt, or just to RELAX . Sport activities now include; Bass Fishing, Duck Hunting, Golf at Goose Creek, The Pointe , or Carolina Golf Clubs, boating, wind surfing, our annual motorcycle bike show Labor Day Week-End , and RELAXATION.

Our restaurant features all dining with a water front view. A separate 50- seat sports bar with all ABC Permits adjoins the restaurant. Sport Bar features a 100 inch Projection TV, pool tables, cards, and WIRELESS NET SERVICE. A private meeting room is available.

Our award winning Dining Menu includes: Barry's She Crab Soup, Alaska Crab Legs, Homemade Pies, and New York--Rib Eye Steaks. Children love the Homemade Pizza and Chicken Planks. Shoppers love to visit the Cotton Gin Store, Lammer's Stained Glass Shop and the numerous Antique Shops that are only minutes from Walnut Island.

The lodge is attached to the restaurant. A private boat ramp and marina are available FREE for guests.. Our property faces the Currituck Lighthouse . Nature lovers enjoy returning every year to visit our resident Osprey Family.Looks like they hatched 3 fledglings this year!
